The paperwork
An important part of becoming a patient is paperwork. It assists our Doctors in understanding your condition. We do not like paperwork either but, it is necessary. We only request paperwork required by insurance providers and federally mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). To minimize your time in the clinic, the intake paperwork can be printed from the Online Forms page and completed at your convenience at home.
Your FIRST visit
The focus of the first visit is to understand the reason for your pain and an investigation of your general health. This is accomplished through an interview and examination. The exam may include:

Taking your blood pressure

Urine Analysis

Checking your posture

Evaluating your Range of Motion

Orthopedic and Neurologic tests

Palpation of painful muscles and spinal alignment

testing muscle strength

Checking reflexes

X-rays (Only if the doctor suspects your pain is structurally related)

An adjustment if deemed appropriate by the Doctor
Your SECOND visit
The focus of the second visit is to develop a treatment program based upon your examination and x-rays (if performed). Treatment programs may include:
- Spinal and Extremity Adjustments
- Rehabilitation Exercises
- Electric Therapy
- Inter-segmental Traction
- Nutritional Supplements
- Acupuncture/Acupressure
- Massage Therapy
